miike snow cd packaging
Problem: Develop a special edition CD packaging system for Miike Snow’s greatest hits. Miike Snow is a Swedish pop-synth trio whose sugary, upbeat rhythms are juxtaposed with dark, brooding lyrics.
Solution: To show the partnership of cheerful sounds with melancholy lyrics, I developed a system that centers on the tale of a blue rabbit. On the album cover the rabbit, who represents innocence, is shown eating a pill-sprinkled donut. Then, as shown on the front of the lyric booklet, he vomits up the pills and falls down a rabbit hole of drug-induced hallucinations.
